Job Summary

Participate as a member of an MCS Supply Chain Product team. Responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of supply chain strategy for specific core products with product team members. In the role, the team member's primary responsibility will be the Procurement function.

Roles/Responsibilites

-Develop, document, and implement supply chain strategies for specific products/commodities based on overall Long Range Plan (LRP).
-Develops, documents, and implements global supplier/commodity risk strategies encompassing price, business, and capacity issues.
-Supports the new product development process through supply chain analysis and executing strategies to achieve product line business plan objectives.
-Develop strategic plans encompassing sourcing (global as appropriate), logistics, warehousing and distribution in support of new products.
-Develops strategies and tactics to optimize contract negotiation with suppliers. Obtains agreements on pricing, delivery, and other terms. Resolves contract difference/disputes with suppliers. Obtains legal review and approval of all contracts.
-Interviews and selects suppliers for volume contracts in order to optimize total delivered costs as it relates to assigned commodities. Performs on-site supplier evaluations to determine supplier capacity and ability to support quality and manufacturing standards. Solicits and evaluates competitive bids, including specifications, terms and conditions.
-Participates in supplier Kaizen/Lean events and arranges supplier participation in MCS Kaizen/lean events as requested.
-Support Oracle implementation.
-Plans and organizes activities to best utilize personnel so as to achieve long and short range GDPs. Provides training as necessary.
-Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, continuing education, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in Material's Management and the Supply Chain.

Qualifications

-Bachelors Degree in Business or related field.
-APICS and /or CPM Certification.
-10 years experience in Material's Management/Supply Chain.
-Experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Knowledge to analyze financial data.
-Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
-Ability to travel 25% of the time.
-Prefer experience in construction industry materials procurement.
-MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred.
-Prior experience in developing a supply chain strategy in the construction market preferred.
